Sign up for automatic bank draft to have the Fremont Department of Utilities automatically draft your bank account on your due date. Complete the form and provide us a voided check and we'll take care of the rest!
By registering your account at our online payment portal, you will have access to a wide range of options to help manage all of your utility accounts from one central location. You can store different payment methods, sign up for paperless billing and sign up for automatic payments.
Our online payment portal also offers you a quick one-time payment option without having to register your account.
Our automated phone payment system is available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by dialing 833-277-8709.
Pay your bill in CASH at local retail stores such as Baker's, Walgreen's, and Dollar General. All you need to do is obtain a barcode from our online payment portal, take the barcode to the selected local retail store and pay your bill with cash. A $2.95 convenience fee will apply.
Follow the steps below to obtain a barcode:
- Go to our online payment portal
- Select Pay Now from the Make One Time Payment option
- Input your account number - this can be found on your utility statement
- Input requested information and the amount you want to pay
- Select Cash as your Payment Method
- Input your zip code or use your location to find the retail location you want to pay at
- Select your desired retail location
- Click continue
- Select the 'I authorize and agree per Payment Authorization Terms' checkbox
- Then click Get Payment Barcode
Take your barcode and cash payment to the retailer you selected within 6 hours of creating your barcode to make your payment. Payments are processed in real time and will be reflected on your account once they are made.
Mail your check or money order made payable to Fremont Department of Utilities, along with your remittance stub from the bottom portion of your utility statement to:

Utilize our drop-box located in the drive-thru after hours at 400 East Military Avenue. Cash is not accepted through the drop-box, please use checks only.
Our drive-thru is open 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. We accept checks and cash payments through the drive-thru located at 400 East Military Avenue.
We have Customer Service Agents ready to assist you 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. We accept cash, checks, money orders, and card payments. We are located at 400 East Military Avenue.
Payments can be made at any Walmart Customer Service Desk during their normal hours. There is an additional charge and payments can take two to three business days to reach your account.
