Sealed bids will be received at the office of the City Clerk in the City Building, 400 East Military Avenue, Fremont, Nebraska, until 2:00 p.m., March 18, 2026, and be publicly opened and read in the Council Chambers at that time for all tools, labor and materials necessary to complete the work required for 19th street ASPHALT OVERLAY as per the Plans and Specifications prepared by the Engineering Department and on file with the City Clerk.

ESTIMATE OF QUANTITIES

650 Tons of Asphalt. The work is generally described as asphalt, mill and overlay on 19th Street from Nye Avenue to Somers Avenue.  AND other associated work as removal and replacement of marked pavement failure, including curb ramps, rebuild manholes and inlets, adjust valves, and implementing erosion control.

Contractors that are qualified to bid must obtain the Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents from the City Engineer’s office, 3rd. Floor, 400 East Military Avenue, Fremont, Nebraska. A non-refundable deposit of $40.00 will be charged for each hard copy set of Plans and Specifications.  Digital copies may be obtained, free of charge, by emailing the office of Civil Engineer at .

All work shall conform to the City of Fremont’s Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction, latest edition.  The contractor shall commence work as soon as practical after execution of the contract.  Once the work is started, the contractor shall remain onsite until all work is completed.   ALL WORK shall be completed BY September 1, 2026.  After September 1, 2026, liquidated damages will be assessed at Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) per calendar day.
