Pet Licensing

PuppyRenewing a License

Licenses are due annually on and after the second day of January of every year. A license will be issued after proper proof of rabies inoculation and applicable fee is paid. A pet license may be obtained from the City Clerks office, 2nd floor, Municipal Building, 400 East Military and from participating area veterinarians. There is a maximum of three dogs and five cats per household allowed per Fremont Municipal Code.

Upon licensing your pet for the first time, the City Clerk's office will provide a permanent tag for your pet. *Please note that while the metal tag is permanent, the license associated with the tag must be renewed January of each year*.
