Sealed bids will be received at the office of the City Clerk in the City Building, 400 East Military Avenue, Fremont, Nebraska until 11:00am (CST), Friday, February, 7, 2020, and publicly opened and read in the Council Chambers at that time for all tools, labor and materials necessary to complete the work required to construct an awning at the Fremont Friendship Center as shown in the engineered drawings and specifications provided by the City of Fremont and on file with the City Clerk.
Bids shall be sealed and addressed to the City Clerk, Fremont, Nebraska and labeled on the outside “BID FOR FRIENDSHIP CENTER AWNING”. Any bids received from the contractors not so qualified will be returned.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond, Cashier’s Check or Certified Check, the amount of which is not less than Five (5%) of the bid price of all work.
The successful contractor will be required to furnish a Performance, Payment and Maintenance Bond and will be required to submit an acceptable Affirmative Action Statement and Program to the Office of the Mayor within Ten (10) days after the bid had been awarded by the Fremont City Council. Failure to submit an acceptable Affirmative Action Statement and Program within the time allotted shall result in the forfeiture of the bidder’s bond.
