Union Pacific Railroad presented Mayor Scott Getzschman with a commemorative Golden Spike during the 2018 John C. Fremont Days festival.  The Union Pacific Railroad is significant to Fremont's existence.  Fremont is one of the towns that was along the original transcontinental railroad line that connected our great nation for the first time.  To read the full presentation click here.  We are so appreciative of the continued relationship Union Pacific has with the community of Fremont.
