The tree lot at the former landfill site (old City dump) on the west side of South Broad/US 77 north of the Platte River will be open to homeowners for disposal of only storm damage tree limbs from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday, June 24th; 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, June 25th; and 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 26th. Household debris is not accepted and should be taken to the Transfer Station located southeast of Hormel near Bell Street/County Road 23 and Cloverly Road.
The City will continue curbside pickup of homeowner storm damaged tree limbs hand placed by the street curb thru Friday, July 1st.
Household debris is to be taken to the Transfer Station southeast of Hormel on south Bell Street near Cloverly Road.
City crews will begin pickup of only storm damaged tree limbs placed at the curb (not in the street) during the next week. It is pertinent that City crews restore access for traffic and emergency personnel first. Household debris will not be picked up if left curbside.
If residents are unable to bring their storm damage tree limbs and brush to the former landfill and want it removed sooner, they will be responsible for having someone haul it to the City dump or hire a tree service company to remove it.
