The City of Fremont will hold an interest session to discuss the Downtown Façade Improvements program Wednesday, July 10 at 1pm in the Keene Memorial Library east meeting room. The event is free and open to the public. Business and property owners located within Business Improvement District #1 are encouraged to attend.
This forgivable loan program is administered by the City of Fremont and the Northeast Nebraska Economic Development District and funded by Community Development Block Grant Downtown Revitalization funds.
The purpose of the Downtown Facade Improvements Program is to restore, improve, and create historic architectural features to facades of commercial buildings anywhere within Fremont’s Business Improvement District #1 as identified within the Fremont Downtown Plan. The maximum funding request is $50,000 and awards require a 25% match.
The interest session will provide information on the program, including eligibility and how to apply for funding.
Carlos Garzón, consultant for the UNO APEX Accelerator program will be in attendance to translate information to Spanish.
