Sealed bids will be received at the office of the City Clerk in the City Building, 400 East Military Avenue, Fremont, Nebraska, until 2:00pm CST, Thursday, November 30, 2017, and be publicly opened and read in the Council Chambers at that time for all tools, labor and materials necessary to complete the work required for the Ridge Cemetery Irrigation System as per the Plans and Specifications prepared by Kenneth Merboth, Water Scape Inc. and on file with the City Clerk.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond, Cashier’s Check or Certified Check, the amount of which is not less than Five (5%) of the bid price of all work bid. The bid security shall be sealed and addressed to the City Clerk, Fremont, Nebraska and be labeled on the outside “BID FOR RIDGE CEMETERY IRRIGATION SYSTEM”. Any bids received from contractors not so qualified will be returned.
The successful contractor will be required to furnish a Performance, Payment and Maintenance Bond and will be required to submit an acceptable Affirmative Action Statement and Program to the Office of the Mayor within ten (10) days after the bid has been awarded by the Fremont City Council. Failure to submit an acceptable Affirmative Action Statement and Program within the time allotted shall result in the forfeiture of the bidder’s bond.
